USTR Extends Certain Section 301 Tariffs

The Office of the United States Trade Representative has announced an extension of the Section 301 tariff exclusions that were previously set to expire on May 31, 2025. These exclusions will now remain in effect through August 31, 2025.

This decision follows continued evaluation of public comments received in response to the December 29 notice, as well as feedback submitted during the four-year review. Based on this review, the U.S. Trade Representative has determined that a three-month extension is appropriate for the 164 exclusions that were extended in May 2024 and the 14 exclusions granted in September 2024, which cover certain solar manufacturing equipment.

Accordingly, all exclusions previously extended under heading 9903.88.69 and U.S. notes 20(vvv)(i) through 20(vvv)(iv), as well as all exclusions under heading 9903.88.70 and U.S. note 20(www), to subchapter III of chapter 99 of the HTSUS, will be extended. This extension applies to goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, from 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on June 1, 2025, through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on August 31, 2025.
