CBP has issued updated guidance for imports of aluminum products and derivatives subject to Section 232 measures.
Effective June 28, 2025, if an importer does not know the country of smelt and/or cast, they must report “unknown” in place of the ISO country code when filing entry data.
When reporting “unknown”, importers will be assessed the 200% Section 232 duty rate applicable to aluminum products of Russian origin.\
