FDA has scheduled system maintenance from 10:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, June 21, 2025, to 6:00 a.m. EST on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This downtime is necessary for a critical downstream database upgrade.
During this window, the interface between FDA and CBP will be unavailable. As a result, FDA will not process any inbound entries or outbound messages. Status messages generated during this period will be queued and transmitted to CBP once the system is restored.
The Prior Notice System Interface (PNSI) will remain operational, and prior notices can continue to be submitted via ABI/ACE. However, they will also be queued during the downtime, and there may be delays in their review. This could result in prior notices being processed beyond standard expected time frames.
To minimize disruptions, the FDA strongly encourages the trade community to file prior notices early.
Please do not resubmit FDA or Prior Notice entries, as this will cause additional delays and extended processing times once the interface is back online.
