Effective February 6, 2026, U.S. CBP will begin issuing all refunds via ACH, with limited exceptions. To support this transition, CBP has enhanced the refund enrollment process by:
• Adding an automated ACH Refund Authorization tool in the ACE Secure Data Portal (ACE Portal); and
• Automating the ACE Portal importer account application process, which is required in order to access the new ACH Refund Authorization tool
Importers and other parties who may receive CBP-issued refunds after February 5, 2026, should review CBP’s Electronic Refund Enrollment Reference Sheet (linked below) and take any necessary steps now to ensure enrollment and readiness for this mandatory transition.
